The Imperial Order of Saint Stanislaus is a Russian dynastic order of knighthood. It was founded in 1765 by King Stanisław II Augustus of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth as the Order of the Knights of Saint Stanislaus, Bishop and Martyr. Emperor Nicholas I incorporated it into the Russian Empire's honours system in 1831. Its activities were suspended after the Russian Revolution, but it has subsequently been awarded by heads of the Imperial House of Romanov.
