Kosmora is built on the work of many people. Kosmora is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Wikimedia Foundation.

Wikipedia text

Every card is an English Wikipedia article. Card summaries and facts are adapted from those articles by an automated process and are available under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International licence (CC BY-SA 4.0). Each card page links the original article and its revision history, where the contributors are credited.

Wikidata

Some structured facts come from Wikidata, whose data is available under CC0.

Images

• Wikimedia Commons: reused images keep their own licence. The author, licence and a link to the file description page are shown on each card page.
• AI-generated illustrations: when no reusable image exists, an illustration is generated with an AI model. These images are clearly labelled on each card, are artistic interpretations and are not photographs or documentary images.

Popularity and rarity

Rarity is computed from the median daily views of each article over 90 complete days, using the Wikimedia Analytics (Pageviews) API (all access, user agents).

Families

The family taxonomy (domains, families and their definitions) was designed for Kosmora. Membership of subjects in families is decided by an automated classifier with human review.
