Jane Lippitt Patterson

Jane Lippitt Patterson (1829 to 1919) was a 19th-century American writer and editor. She served for 20 years as editor of the Home Department of The Christian Leader. Her works included Victory, Out of Sight, Romance of the New Bethesda, and Buena Vista Windows, alongside 400 short poems, short stories and essays. A Universalist, she conducted services and assisted in the pulpit, including at funerals. Tufts College awarded her a Litt.D. in 1905.
