Eschrichtius akishimaensis, known as the Akishima whale, is a fossil taxon described in 2017. It is one of two species in the genus Eschrichtius, alongside the modern-day gray whale. It is the genus's first and only fossil species, dating to about 1.77 to 1.95 million years ago in the Early Pleistocene.
