The Fontaine du Palmier, also called the Fontaine de la Victoire, is a monumental fountain in Place du Châtelet in Paris's First Arrondissement. Built from 1806 to 1808, it was intended to supply fresh drinking water to the local population and commemorate victories of Napoleon Bonaparte. It is the largest surviving fountain built during Napoleon's reign.
