The Battle of Chamba was a military engagement fought from 12 to 15 June 1915 in the village of Chamba, Hakkari. Assyrian defenders, led by the tribal leader Malik Ismail II, fought Artushi Kurdish forces under Simko Shikak. The confrontation occurred during the Sayfo, in an attempt to exterminate Assyrian Christians of the Ottoman Empire.
