Doris Day was an American actress and singer whose entertainment career lasted 75 years. She began as a big band singer and achieved commercial success in 1945 with Les Brown and His Band of Renown. Day later recorded more than 650 songs and became known for “Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be)”. Her film work included Calamity Jane, The Man Who Knew Too Much and Pillow Talk. She also advocated for animal welfare.
