John Charles Robertson

John Charles Robertson was a senior Australian Army officer who served in the First and Second World Wars. He served on the Western Front as a non-commissioned officer during the First World War, then joined the 23rd Battalion in Australia. At the outbreak of the Second World War, he raised and commanded the newly formed 2/29th Battalion. He died from gunshot wounds and other injuries in Malaya on 18 January 1942.
