The Airbus A350 is a long-range, wide-body twin-engine airliner developed and produced by Airbus. After an earlier A330-based proposal, Airbus adopted the clean-sheet A350 XWB design in 2006, powered by Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines. The prototype first flew from Toulouse, France, in 2013. The aircraft is largely made of carbon-fibre-reinforced polymers and is available as the A350-900 and longer A350-1000 variants.
