Nymphidium is a genus of butterflies in the family Riodinidae, present only in the Neotropical realm. Its members are generally brown and white, though some have been transformed by mimicry. Their wings lack indentations, tails, lobes, or coils. The larvae are green and woodlouse-shaped and are guarded by ants. Adults rest beneath leaves, fly low when disturbed, and appear to swarm around dawn or early morning.
