Maroon 5 is an American pop rock band formed in Los Angeles, California. Its members include Adam Levine, Jesse Carmichael, James Valentine, Matt Flynn, PJ Morton and Sam Farrar. The group began as Kara's Flowers in 1994, re-emerged as Maroon 5 in 2001, and released Songs About Jane in 2002. It has won three Grammy Awards and has sold more than 135 million records.
