HMS Opportune was an O-class destroyer of the Royal Navy. Ordered from John I. Thornycroft & Company at Woolston on 3 September 1939 for the 1st Emergency Flotilla, she was commissioned on 14 August 1942. She served throughout the Second World War, mainly escorting convoys, and remained in Royal Navy service until the mid-1950s. She was the second Royal Navy ship to bear the name Opportune.
