Nuralagus is an extinct genus of leporid, the family that includes rabbits and hares. Its single species, Nuralagus rex, was described in 2011 and lived on Menorca in the western Mediterranean during the Pliocene epoch. It is the largest known lagomorph, estimated to have weighed 8 to 12 kilograms. It likely became extinct around the Pliocene-Pleistocene transition after Mallorca and Menorca united, allowing Mallorca's mammals to enter its habitat.
