Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band is the eighth studio album by the English rock band the Beatles, released in the United Kingdom on 26 May 1967. Loosely presented as a performance by the fictional Sgt. Pepper band, it combines psychedelic rock with influences including music hall, vaudeville, avant-garde, and Western and Indian classical music. Produced with George Martin and engineered by Geoff Emerick, it won four Grammy Awards in 1968, including Album of the Year.
