Samanco

Samanco is a South Korean brand of waffle-encased ice cream shaped like a carp. Its usual filling is ice cream flavored with red bean paste, though chocolate and green tea varieties also exist. The food is based on bungeo-ppang, or carp bread, whose fish shape has an auspicious association. Samanco is described as a summer fast food and has become known in the West as “ice cream fish.”
