Cosmos Redshift 7, also called CR7, is a high-redshift Lyman-alpha emitter galaxy at redshift 6.6. It is observed as it was about 800 million years after the Big Bang, during the epoch of reionisation. Its light travel time is 12.9 billion years. CR7 contains a bright pocket of blue stars and redder Population II stars elsewhere, but recent studies found no evidence for Population III stars.
