Panama, officially the Republic of Panama, is a country at the southern end of Central America, bordering South America. It borders Costa Rica and Colombia, with the Caribbean Sea to the north and the Pacific Ocean to the south. Panama City is its capital and largest city. The Panama Canal is an important part of the economy, alongside commerce, banking and tourism.
