The northern olingo (Bassaricyon gabbii) is a tree-dwelling member of the raccoon family, Procyonidae, native to Central America. It is also called the bushy-tailed olingo or simply the olingo. It was the first olingo species to be scientifically described. Its specific name honors William More Gabb, who found and collected the first specimen known to Western science.
