Telemachus is a figure in Greek mythology, identified as the son of Odysseus and Penelope and a central character in Homer’s Odyssey. After reaching manhood, he travels to Pylos and Sparta seeking his father, who has not returned from the Trojan War. Back on Ithaca, he reunites with Odysseus, and they kill Penelope’s suitors. The lost epic Telegony says that Telemachus married Circe.
