Potoooooooo, also known by variations of Pot-8-Os, was an 18th-century British thoroughbred racehorse. Active from 1773 until his death in November 1800, he won more than 25 races and outranked some prominent racehorses of his time. He later became an important sire, producing leading runners including the Epsom Derby winners Waxy, Champion and Tyrant. His unusually spelled name was pronounced “Potatoes.”
