  • Children's and Folk Games

Hide-and-seek, also called hide-and-go-seek, is a children's game for at least two players, usually at least three. One player, known as “it,” counts with closed eyes while the others conceal themselves, then seeks them out. Games may end when all hiders are found, or in a variation involving a home base where hiders can become safe by reaching it. The game is commonly passed among children as an oral tradition.
