John Bonham was an English musician and the drummer of Led Zeppelin. A mostly self-taught player, he was noted for speed, power, single-footed kick drumming and a feel for groove. He joined Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones in 1968 to form the band. Bonham performed with Led Zeppelin until his death in September 1980, aged 32. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Led Zeppelin in 1995.
