Maze, also known as Mazewar and Maze War, is a 3D multiplayer first-person shooter maze game developed in 1973 and expanded in 1974. Its first version was made for the Imlac PDS-1 at NASA Ames Research Center. At MIT, it became an eight-player game with scoring, map views and a level editor, and could be played across ARPANET. It is believed to be the first 3D first-person game.
