  • Medical Imaging and Diagnostics

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a medical imaging technique used in radiology to produce images of anatomy and physiological processes inside the body. MRI scanners use strong magnetic fields, magnetic field gradients and radio waves, without X-rays or ionizing radiation. It is used in hospitals and clinics for diagnosis, disease staging and follow-up. MRI can provide better soft-tissue contrast than CT, but some implants or non-removable metal may prevent safe examination.
