The Perseids are a prolific meteor shower associated with the comet Swift–Tuttle. They are usually visible from mid-July to late August. Their meteors are named for their apparent origin in the general direction of the constellation Perseus. In more modern times, the shower’s radiant has bordered on the constellations Cassiopeia and Camelopardalis.
