Volkswagen R is a brand used by the German auto manufacturer Volkswagen for sport or high performance vehicle models. R-model vehicles carry an R badge on the grille, front fenders and trunk to identify their trim level. The R marque is used alongside GT designations including GTI, GLI, GTE and GTD, whose sport models are described as less performance-oriented than vehicles such as the Golf R. In 2022, the Touareg R-Line was renamed R-Style.
