The Jackson family is an American family of entertainers from Gary, Indiana. Children of Joe and Katherine Jackson included the musicians who formed the Jackson 5, later the Jacksons, as well as solo performers. Joe managed the group. The family achieved popular music success from the late 1960s onward, with Michael and Janet Jackson among its prominent solo artists. The Jackson 5 entered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997.
