Rotelsee, also called Rotelschsee, is a lake near Simplon Pass in the canton of Valais, Switzerland. Its water powers a small turbine at the Simplon Hospice monastery. The lake is 220 m from the monastery, with an altitude difference of 30 m. Lake Rotel is close to the watershed between the Po and Rhône river systems. Its outflow ultimately reaches the Adriatic Sea through the Po.
