George B. Reed was an American lawyer, railroad executive, Democratic politician, and Wisconsin pioneer. He represented Manitowoc County for six years in the Wisconsin State Senate, served as county judge, and was Manitowoc's first village president. Known as the “father of the Wisconsin Central Railroad,” he was associated with the line linking Lake Superior and Milwaukee. Reed also co-founded Reedsville, Wisconsin, which was named for him.
