USS Enterprise (CVN-65), formerly CVA(N)-65, was a United States Navy aircraft carrier. In 1958, she became the first nuclear-powered aircraft carrier in the United States Navy and the world. Nicknamed “Big E”, she was the only ship of her class and is the longest naval vessel ever built. Enterprise was inactivated in 2012 and decommissioned in 2017 after more than 55 years of service.
