As of 22 May, it involved ten confirmed and two suspected cases, with three deaths, including two confirmed to have been caused by the virus. Passengers were evacuated and quarantined after the ship reached Tenerife. The World Health Organization declared the outbreak over on 2 July 2026 after the last close contact left quarantine.
