  • Symptoms and Signs

Coital incontinence (CI) is urinary leakage occurring during penetration or orgasm, with a sexual partner or during masturbation. It has been reported in 10% to 27% of sexually active women who have urinary continence problems. Evidence suggests leakage during penetration is linked with urodynamic stress incontinence, while leakage during orgasm is linked with detrusor overactivity. It is physiologically distinct from female ejaculation, although the two are sometimes confused.
