King of Greece during the Balkan Wars and World War I
Epic
Constantine I was King of Greece from 1913 to 1917 and again from 1920 to 1922. The eldest son of George I, he became king after his father's assassination. As crown prince, he commanded Greek forces during the Greco-Turkish War of 1897 and the Balkan Wars. His refusal to join the Allies in World War I contributed to the National Schism. He abdicated in 1922 after an army revolt and died in exile in Sicily.
