Entelodon is an extinct genus of entelodont artiodactyl known from Eurasia. Its name means “complete teeth” and refers to its complete eutherian dentition. The genus was formerly called Elotherium. Fossils of Entelodon species occur in Paleogene strata, from the Houldjinian, about 37.2 to 33.9 million years ago, through the Rupelian of the early Oligocene, about 33.9 to 28.4 million years ago.
