U-505, briefly known as USS Nemo, is a German Type IXC submarine built for the Kriegsmarine during World War II. The United States Navy captured her on 4 June 1944, then secretly towed her to Bermuda while her crew were held in isolation as prisoners of war. Donated to Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry in 1954, she survives there as a museum ship.
