The Notting Hill Mystery is an English-language detective novel written and serialised under the pseudonym Charles Felix from 1862 to 1863. It was published in book form in 1865, with illustrations by George du Maurier. Its author's identity was never revealed, though several critics have posthumously suggested Charles Warren Adams, a lawyer who wrote other novels under pseudonyms. The work is considered one of the first English-language detective novels, possibly the first.
