Virgil Rasmuss Miller was a United States Army officer. During World War II, he served as regimental commander of the 442d Regimental Combat Team, a unit composed of Nisei, second-generation Americans of Japanese descent. He led the 442nd in the rescue of the Lost Texas Battalion of the 36th Infantry Division in the forests of the Vosges Mountains in northeastern France.
