St Paul's Survives is a photograph taken by Herbert Mason during the night air raid of 29 to 30 December 1940 in London. Taken from the roof of Northcliffe House in the early hours of 30 December, it shows St Paul's Cathedral illuminated by fires and surrounded by smoke from burning buildings. The image became widely known as a symbol of British resilience during the Blitz.
