Angle of view (photography)

In photography, angle of view (AOV) is the angular extent of a scene recorded by a camera, and is also called field of view. It differs from angle of coverage, which concerns the image circle projected by a lens onto the image plane. AOV depends on both the lens and the film or image sensor size. Smaller digital sensors give a lens a narrower angle of view than 35 mm film.
