The redeye bass, also called the redeye or Coosa bass, is a species of freshwater fish in the sunfish family, Centrarchidae. Its scientific name is Micropterus coosae. The species is endemic to the Mobile and Alabama River systems, particularly the Coosa River, a major tributary of the Alabama River in Georgia and Tennessee.
