Scrotoplasty, also called oscheoplasty, is surgery to create or repair the scrotum. It may be chosen by some transgender men and intersex or non-binary people assigned female at birth as part of transition. The procedure may also address congenital penoscrotal defects, excess scrotal skin associated with aging, or damage caused by infection, necrosis, or traumatic injury. Testicular implants used in related procedures can be made of saline or gel-filled silicone rubber.
