The barred warbler (Curruca nisoria) is a bird species in the warbler family Sylviidae. It breeds in temperate parts of central and eastern Europe and western and central Asia, then migrates to tropical eastern Africa for winter. It is the largest Curruca warbler. Adults are mainly grey above and whitish below, while males show heavy barring on the underparts. Young birds are buffy grey-brown and can resemble garden warblers.
