Ethel Arnold Smith Dorrance Hickey (1880–?) was an American writer born in Pennsylvania to Presbyterian minister Rev. William John Smith. Her best-known work, Damned: The Intimate Story Of A Girl (1923), follows Dolores Trent, who recounts her life to Satan after being consigned to Hell. With her husband, James French Dorrance, she wrote novels and short stories, chiefly Westerns, and several of their works were adapted for film.
