Primavera, meaning “Spring”, is a large tempera panel painting by the Italian Renaissance painter Sandro Botticelli, made in the late 1470s or early 1480s. It depicts classical mythological figures in a garden and is generally regarded as an allegory of the growth of spring, although its precise meaning is disputed. Since 1919, it has been in the Uffizi Gallery collection in Florence, Italy.
