USS Cumberland (IX-8) was an unclassified miscellaneous vessel of the United States Navy, named for the Cumberland River. A steel-hulled sailing bark, she was launched at Boston Navy Yard in 1904 and commissioned in 1907. She served as a training auxiliary at Newport, a station ship at Guantanamo Bay, a receiving ship at Norfolk, and later at the United States Naval Academy. She was decommissioned in 1946 and delivered for disposal in 1947.
