Sif Mons is a large shield volcano in western Eistla Regio, a Venusian highland region. Its main volcanic structure has a 40-kilometre-wide summit caldera and an outer apron of lava flows 1,200 kilometres in diameter. The volcano rises about 2 kilometres from its base. Candidate eruptions in 1990 and 1992 make it one of the few extraterrestrial volcanoes with observed signs of ongoing volcanic activity. It was named for the Norse goddess Sif.
