Tom Baker is an English actor and writer, best known for playing the fourth incarnation of the Doctor in BBC's Doctor Who from 1974 to 1981. His tenure made him the longest-serving actor in the role. Before acting, he trained to become a Christian brother and joined the National Theatre in 1968. His work has included film roles, television series and voice narration, including Little Britain.
