Nazia Hassan was a Pakistani singer, songwriter and philanthropist whose career began with “Aap Jaisa Koi” for the 1980 Indian film Qurbani. She recorded with her brother Zoheb Hassan as the duo Nazia and Zoheb, and released albums including Disco Deewane, Boom Boom, Young Tarang, Hotline and Camera Camera. Hassan was appointed UNICEF cultural ambassador in 1991. She died of lung cancer in London in 2000.
