María Félix, born María de los Ángeles Félix Güereña, was a Mexican actress and singer. She was one of Latin American cinema's most successful figures in the 1940s and 1950s, alongside Pedro Armendáriz and Dolores del Río. Known as La Doña after her role in Doña Bárbara (1943), she appeared in 47 films made in Mexico, Spain, France, Italy and Argentina.
