Falklands War
The Falklands War was a 74-day conflict in the South Atlantic in 1982 between Argentina and the United Kingdom over the Falkland Islands, South Georgia, and the South Sandwich Islands. It began with Argentina’s invasion of the Falkland Islands on 2 April and ended with an Argentine surrender on 14 June. The war caused military and civilian deaths and had significant political effects in both countries.
